Ethiopia to Djibouti Cross-border Water Supply Project Watercourse Ceremony Completed Successfully, Ethiopia to Djibouti Cross-border Water Supply Project under the care and guidance of the Group, Water Company, Ethiopian Department of Management, Djibouti Manager, Ethiopian Water Company The water ceremony was successfully held on June 19, 2017 in Ali Sabieh province of Djibouti.

 The main guests attending this ceremony were: HE Mr. Ismail Omar Guelleh, President of Djibouti, Ambassador Fu Huaqiang of the Chinese Ambassador to Djibouti, Ambassador Ethiopia in Djibouti, Ministerial Officers of the Government of Djibouti and Chief Executive of the Local Government. Other attendees, Egyptian guests and the masses a total of more than 400 people.

The water ceremony was held at 9 am local time in Djibouti. In the meantime, President Djibouti, Chinese Ambassador to Djibouti, Ambassador Ethiopia in Djibouti, Minister of Agriculture of Djibouti, respectively. President Djibouti, together with the guests, opened the faucet in the center of the site, symbolizing the success of my cross-border water supply project from the Ethiopian water source to the Djibouti people who were eager to obtain high-quality clean water in line with WHO drinking water standards.

 Ethiopia to Djibouti cross-border water supply project by the Overseas Chinese group construction, the Export-Import Bank of China to provide loans, the start date of March 30, 2015. The project was drilled deep in the Shinile area of Ethiopia, with a total length of about 374 kilometers and a daily water supply of 100,000 cubic meters. The success of the project will solve the drinking water problem in the capital city of Djibouti, Ali Sabieh, Arta and Dikhil provinces of about 61 million Djibouti.

 As of the date of publication, the project has been running through the system test, with the ability to supply water to the owners, is handling the transfer procedures.
