Douala water supply project

Douala water supply project is a major water project funded bythe Export-Import Bank of China. The completion of PhaseⅠimproved the drinking water supply capability of Douala city up to15 million tons per day. The former Prime Minister Inoni of Cameroon attendedthe commencement ceremony.

The second phase project officially commencedin 2012. The Cameroon local media commented this project: Douala water supplyproject is a true portrayal of “China-African cooperation being committed tosolving the livelihood problems of African countries and seeking practicalbenefits for African people" .
